Pastor Bryan Dziadik-Willingham

Pastor Bryan was raised in The Colony, Texas, where he first sensed God’s call to pastoral ministry at just five years old. After graduating from The Colony High School, he attended Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, earning his bachelor’s degree and meeting his future wife, Michele. He later attended Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he faithfully pursued his calling while working on the campus maintenance crew through many long Minnesota winters.

Following seminary, Pastor Bryan and Michele began their ministry journey in Oklahoma, where he was ordained and served congregations in Hobart and Cushing, as well as spending time ministering as a hospital chaplain in Tulsa. Their daughter, Brielle, was born during their years in Cushing before the family returned to Texas. Pastor Bryan went on to serve congregations in Castroville and Lockhart, faithfully leading through seasons of growth, challenge, and the difficulties faced during the COVID era. Michele has also dedicated many years of service at Texas State University, and Brielle is now pursuing a degree in elementary education at Tarleton State University.

Above all, Pastor Bryan’s greatest joy is his relationship with the Lord and the blessings of his family. He is grateful for the opportunity to serve the congregation and community of St. John Lutheran Church in Marion. Known for his compassionate pastoral care, community involvement, and servant leadership, Pastor Bryan values spending time with members in their homes, hospitals, and care centers. Outside of ministry, he enjoys cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs, along with caring for his ever-growing collection of house plants.

Office Secretary & Treasurer ~ Pennie Swanson

As Office Secretary and Treasurer at St. John’s, Pennie finds great joy serving the same church where she grew up, was baptized, and confirmed. Her role allows her to stay connected with the congregation while helping support the ministries and mission that have shaped her life and family for generations. Guided by Philippians 4:13 — “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” — she strives to bring warmth, encouragement, and a sense of belonging to everyone she meets. Outside of church, she enjoys 9-pin bowling, camping, fishing, and hunting, but her greatest joy comes from spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
